Beach Volleyball
| Stavanger has hosted the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball
FIVB World Tour Grand Slam many times - last in 2011. Now, after
a two year break, Stavanger will again host the tournament (June
24 - 29, 2014).

The tournament will be held in the bay
area in the city
center. Tons of sand will be brought into town and the quayside will
be turned into a beach area! The main court in 2014 will be
placed next to the new concert hall.
Stavanger, with only 130,000 inhabitants is in
good company. Berlin, Moscow, London, Los Angeles and Shanghai
will also be hosts for the 2014 tournament.
